Basic Internet Session for Pathadumbara Maha Vidyalaya

For our social project we choose to teach about basic internet usage for rural aria ordinary level students of Pathadumbara Maha Vidyalaya,Walala.(Kandy District)
 When we are doing our social project we did it according to the follow ACM Code Of Conducts principles.Those are,

1. PUBLIC - Software engineers shall act consistently with the public interest.
2. CLIENT AND EMPLOYER - Software engineers shall act in a manner that is in the best
interests of their client and employer consistent with the public interest.
3. PRODUCT - Software engineers shall ensure that their products and related
modifications meet the highest professional standards possible.
4. JUDGMENT - Software engineers shall maintain integrity and independence in their
professional judgment.
5. MANAGEMENT - Software engineering managers and leaders shall subscribe to and
promote an ethical approach to the management of software development and
maintenance.
6. PROFESSION - Software engineers shall advance the integrity and reputation of the
profession consistent with the public interest.
7. COLLEAGUES - Software engineers shall be fair to and supportive of their colleagues.8. SELF - Software engineers shall participate in lifelong learning regarding the practice
of their profession and shall promote an ethical approach to the practice of the
profession

3.08. Ensure that specifications for software on which they work have been
well documented, satisfy the users’ requirements and have the appropriate
approvals.

We are teach to school students those who are willing to face ordinary level examination.There fore which we are teach them we should identify the limitation of our presentation.Becuase of this situation before doing this presentation we double check the our content by each of our group members.
And also we prepare agenda from simple level to their target level to understand the session well and to be it useful.Before we are try to teach them how to use internet, we  introduce basic component which are need to connect internet and how connect to it via that component like dongle etc.
Also we give high priority to use this internet for their most important need like O/L exam.We teach them to how find exam papers,articles about their lessons etc.

7.05. Give a fair hearing to the opinions, concerns, or complaints of a
colleague.


Since we are proposaling the project and while finishing it each members are respect to others opinions and hearing it.We are prepare our presentation agenda with each member's contribution.If some one have better knowladge about some field we give chance to him lead that area of project and to learn us.

5.12. Not punish anyone for expressing ethical concerns about a project.

We considered the ideas of all members about the project. No one was let down when they pointed out any weaknesses of the system since they were showing ethical considerations. No one was punished physically or mentally on such situations.Even if some one have a weakness we are motivate him and get back him to positive mind.

6.08. Take responsibility for detecting, correcting, and reporting errors in
software and associated documents on which they work.


Each part of our session should be accuracy.Becuase if we give some bad or wrong idea about the usage of internet they will miss understand and may be use it for their harmful side.Therefore each team member get the responsibility of their own component of presentation sildes and their presenting parts.
